Youssarian Outpost 1

I've been building the above-ground house sporadically over the past few days and now the first phase of it is done. Overall, I think it looks decent although perhaps not the most glorious thing I've ever built.

After getting the main room done, I started work on the potato farm. I intend to have potatoes be my main food in the game.

 After that came the bedroom.

Eventually I may put flower pots on the logs, to make it look nicer.

And here are a few pictures of how it looked at that stage.

After that came the storage room. In hindsight, it is still woefully insufficient as a long-term storage building, but I don't think I'll be in this house long enough for it to really be a problem.

Not shown in these pictures are the windows I added to all the rooms in order to give it a more spacious, open feel.

And to finish it off, a name!

In my infinite wisdom I forgot that I needed leather from cows to make books. This hampered my bookshelf-making process. Then while I was thinking about what to write, I remembered that there were two villages in this world, one of which had two libraries in it. As much as I don't really want to take the books from either village, that's probably the more convenient thing for me. Once I get more affluent I'll be sure to replace them.

Next time, I'll be working with villagers, most likely.
